THE EGG AND THE WAFFLE IRON
A Prophetic Dream Given the Night of July 25, 2000

This dream occurred just prior to awakening, as has usually been the case with my prophetic dreams in the past. At first, however, I merely considered it an interesting dream, and moved on. At least I tried, but God wouldn’t allow that. Gradually, I came to accept this dream as prophetic. Once or twice before I 've experienced such a progression.
In my dream I was flying on a jet airliner. The seats were not arranged in rows as is normally the case. Instead, the seats were set up informally, so that the passengers could enjoy a lot of interchange. The flyers weren’t strangers, but seemed to be a like-minded fellowship. There was no common bond among the passengers such as age, sex, race, station in life, etc.
At the moment, attention was centered on eating, and everyone was enjoying breakfast. One man, however, was not satisfied with the chosen menu. An Australian, he was a dynamic activist and insisted on being heard. He wasn’t obnoxious, but could hardly be overlooked. He had a very real burden concerning one matter, and insisted that everyone either follow suit or at least give consideration to doing so.
This Australian gentleman was determined to push a certain dish. In front of him he had a heated waffle iron, but it wasn’t the typical one. Instead it was only about four inches in diameter. Not only that, but he wasn’t ladling waffle batter onto it either. For each serving he would simply break an egg right onto the iron.
When I observed I said, “Well, that certainly isn’t an ostrich egg!” The eggs he was using were perfectly round, rather than “egg shaped.” Also, they were only about an inch in diameter; very unique.
The dream ended there with no defined ending.
It was important to notice that these people were not in a building of some kind. That is, they didn’t represent members of some congregation, ministry, or denomination. Still, they were a fellowship.
The lack of rows showed that this didn’t represent a typical worship service, with lines of pews anchored to the floor. Instead, this depicted a flowing worship service with everyone participating. No one was standing in a spotlight.
The plane wasn’t a stationary object sitting on the ground, but was carrying all the passengers through the air. This means that the aircraft represented a movement, something alive and evolving. That would be the Renewal, the present move of the Holy Spirit. The passengers are those Christians whose focus primarily is on this move, rather than on some manmade religious entity. The plane wasn’t cutting lazy circles, it was on an important mission and had a goal.
Since this aircraft wasn’t linked to the ground in any way, it indicated the movement was a worldwide affair. No move of the Holy Spirit has been as worldwide as this present one. Representing it as a jet plane, portrayed the speed with which this Renewal has swept around the world. I didn’t get to see the pilot, but I’m sure he was Divine.
There were no stewardesses, so apparently these passengers weren’t there to be served. The participants seemed to interact well together, not needing any hierarchical structuring.
The flyers weren’t just staring out the window, but were taken up with eating. This stood for spiritual nourishment. The fact that it was a breakfast menu likely depicts this Renewal movement, though impressive, hasn’t even begun to exhibit the power and reach it will soon employ.
I believe the articulate Australian was my friend Eoin Giller, on a special mission. He was completely wrapped up in his endeavor, and hoped to convince everyone within earshot of the importance of his activity. In pointing out that the eggs he was using certainly weren’t “ostrich eggs,” I guess I revealed my ignorance in thinking the bird existed in both Africa and Australia. In any case, it clarified the fact that, although the present effort is in Australia, it will not be confined there. An egg represents beginnings, and what is taking place right now in Australia will move onto a wider stage.
I believe the egg represents the seventh-day Sabbath, and the hot iron indicates the time is ripe for this development. Egg in a mix represents a binder, that which helps to hold all together. Since the Sabbath was introduced in the Garden of Eden, an egg is a fit representation for it. It may not turn out to be everyone’s favorite food, but there will be no way to ignore it altogether.
Your focus right now, Eoin, seems to be to bring Sabbath keepers into Renewal. However, the bigger picture is to bring the Sabbath into the Renewal movement. This has been a concern to me for some time. If the Sabbath is as important as I deem it to be, must it not have a great deal of attention soon. And some significant success in causing people to embrace it. I’m talking about the Sabbath inside Renewal.
There have been a few encouragements in the past. Did you note the stand of Chuck Missler? He has a worldwide ministry, and recently he and his wife felt called to restudy this matter of the Sabbath. As a result he has told all his following that he and his wife observe the Sabbath each week from sundown Friday night to sundown Saturday night.
You may recall that when I phoned Mahesh Chavdah’s headquarters for some additional information concerning their “Watch of the Lord” from Friday evening on through the night, the person on the phone volunteered, “ You know that the Sabbath is really on Saturday, don’t you?”
Chavdah is, or course, very close to Rick Joyner, both geographically and spiritually. I think it may be very significant that one of the men involved in your present mission is, as I understood you to say, close to Rick Joyner.
I consider Rick Joyner to be the one of the most significant prophetic voices today. I take note that he is quite independent. I sense the possibility that the strongest “apostolic/prophetic” group in the world just now is largely self-appointed. They display a certain arrogance, and spend too much time promoting each other's tapes and books. I’m glad that Joyner tends to go his own way. If he should embrace the Sabbath, he would do so with his usual courage. Without apologies, he would send the message out everywhere.
I also sense that God will use a lot of “lesser lights” to do his bidding in the days ahead. Perhaps your mission will extend far beyond Australia.
