The dream began with a huge explosion that brought ash "falling from the sky and settling everywhere . . . This ash was covering the ground and infiltrating everything." This scenario accurately portrays what the media reported as the result of the World Trade Tower destruction on September 11. The word "ash" was used again and again to describe the sky-filling debris cloud that was so "infiltrating" that it made breathing almost impossible for people near the disaster site.
"I rather suspect, however, that it points to trouble coming from Islam worldwide . . . It's not difficult to see how a worldwide 'holy war' or jihad could break out at any time without warning."
1.. A fatwa is an "authoritative ruling on a religious matter." In some cases it is a death decree against a specific person or group.2. Jihad is a Muslim "holy war." Such an action may be initiated to carry out the death decree of the fatwa.
1. The first section of bin Laden's fatwa was issued in August of 1996, and headed "The Ladenese Epistle: Declaration of War." This document called for specific action against a specific target: "Declaration of War Against the Americans Occupying the Land of the Two Holy Places." (That would be Saudi Arabia.) It was signed, "Usamah bin Muhammad bin Laden, Hindukush Mountains, Khurasan, Afghanistan."In the body of the declaration bin Laden continues, "From here, today we begin the work . . . The explosion at Riyadh and Al-Kobar (where many Americans were killed by bombing) is a warning of this volcanic eruption (Although my dream had no volcano, it portrayed a "volcanic eruption.) . . . There is no more important duty than pushing the American enemy out of the holy land."Please keep in mind that the objective of this first fatwa was simply to drive all Americans off Saudi Arabian soil.2. The second section of bin Laden's fatwa turns from merely killing American military forces and driving them out of Saudi Arabia, to killing Jews and Crusaders (Americans), whether civilian or military, anyplace on earth. It is titled, "Jihad Against Jews and Crusaders: World Islamic Front Statement." It was signed by Bin Laden and four of his top henchmen.Bin Laden begins his Jihad statement by quoting from the Koran, Sura 9:5, "Kill those who join other gods with God (that would include Christians) wherever ye shall find them; and seize them, besiege and lay wait for them with every kind of ambush." Doesn't sound too peaceful to me.He continues, "The ruling to kill the Americans and their allies--civilian and military--is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it . . . And why should ye not fight in the cause of God and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated and oppressed--women and children." Fight Americans because they oppress women and children? Is this hypocrisy, or what?Bin Laden concludes, "We call on every Muslim who believes in God and wishes to be rewarded to comply with God's order to kill the Americans and plunder their money wherever and whenever they find it. We also call on Muslim ulema, leaders, youths, and soldiers to launch the raid on Satan's U.S. troops and the devil's supporters allying with them, and to displace those who are behind them so that they may learn a lesson."
"I have told you these things before they happen so that you will believe when they do happen." John 14:29.
"In the last days God said, 'I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit upon all my servants, men and women alike, and they will prophesy." Acts 2:17, 18.
