POWER ON!
A Prophetic Dream Given the Night of February 12, 1998, in Dallas, Texas.

Note: This dream was given during the night prior to the opening session of what was probably the most significant conference yet held in the Renewal.
PREFACE
Just a few weeks ago my wife and I flew out of Narita, Japan, on a United Airlines 747 jet. Following the usual power climb, we leveled out at 33,000 feet and headed out across the Pacific. Just one week later another United 747 took off from Narita, and leveled off at 33,000 feet. This time, however, the airliner ran into clear air turbulance and suddenly dropped 1,000 feet. One person was killed, and many were injured.
THE DREAM
With no memory of a take-off, Bunnie and I found ourselves flying at night in a large United Airlines jet. The air seemed clear and smooth, but suddenly we headed straight down toward the water at high speed. There was an eerie silence as the engines were off. When the pilot's panic-free voice came over the speakers, he indicated he wanted us to experience just such a free fall.
At first I felt no panic either, and found the situation rather exhilerating. I had confidence in the pilot, and from my previous experience expected him to recover the plane after a 1,000-foot drop. When we went whistling through the 1,000-foot mark without any signs of slowing, however, my exhilaration turned to fear.
I knew that the powerful thrust of the jet engines was available, but the pilot wasn't kicking them in. He was in complete control, and we were in complete dependence. As we approached the 2,000-foot level with no signs of slacking our speed of descent, there was nothing to do but hang on and hope.
The dream ended abruptly with no final resolution. Several of my prophetic dreams have ended thus, and I believe it happens when dealing with a situation over which we do have some input in regards to the outcome.
THE INTERPRETATION
Since Bunnie and I were passengers on the plane, it must represent what we are"riding" spiritually at the present time. That would be the Holy Spirit Renewal just now sweeping around the world. Jesus Christ, of course, is the Pilot, and the great jet engines represent the power of the Holy Spirit.
In my dream I didn't experience the plane's take-off, as the Body of Christ left the runway long before I was born -- in Jerusalem during the first century. With the magnificient power of Pentecost, those aboard expected to climb out of sight. Instead the church leveled off, and then went into serious decline.
Our flight had been at night, and after a thousand years (the 1,000 feet of my dream) was heading into the Dark Ages. I know from reading history that many Christians expected things to right themselves as they ended 1,000 years of fall and headed into a new millenium. Instead, the free fall continued. Now, near the end of 2,000 years, once again the Body is anticipating God will intervene momentarily in human affairs.
Through the last two milleniums the powerful engine of the Holy Spirit has always been available, but apparently the Pilot felt we still had much to learn. There have been isolated events, but the great outpouring of healing, along with other signs and miracles,hasn't become reality. We know from Scripture that before our Lord's return there will be a Latter Rain that will completely eclipse the wonder of Pentecost.
There are lots of religious entities (planes) in the sky, but the only one that really matters is the one Christ is piloting -- the Body of Christ. It is a "United"flight, as our Lord's prayer for unity in the Body will be realized prior to his coming. Church leaders have tried various kinds of ecumenical movements, but none have been successful. Until the Renewal that is;this present move of the Holy Spirit is binding spiritual leaders together from varying backgrounds in a way never before witnessed. Love has replaced denominational competition. The Renewal truly is the Body of Christ in action, as God calls his people out of bondage.
As we rush closer and closer to the 2,000-year mark, we are expecting the church Engine,the Holy Spirit, to manifest unlimited and unprescedented power.
It is not by force, nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty. Zech. 4:6
I like the way one Renewal minister put it, "Fasten your seatbelts, as at some point Captain Kirk is going to kick this thing (Renewal) into warp speed, and it will be hold on and hang on time!"
I don't want to be part of some religious entity where mere humans are at the controls. That is how the church went into a free fall in the first place; the Holy Spirit was nudged aside and people yearning for power took over.
Although our Pilot is firmly in control, let's not think we have no part to play.
Since everything around us is going to melt away, what holy, godly lives you should be living! You should look forward to that day and hurry it along -- that day when God will set the heavens on fire and the elements will melt away in flames. But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world where everyone is right with God. 2 Peter 3:11-13
How can we hasten the day of his coming? By exhibiting a proper attitude. God sends the new wine to people who are thirsty and crying out for it. Earnest prayer often can encourage God to move in a mighty way. It is wrong to merely sit back and figure God will do his thing whenever he gets around to it, regardless of our attitude.
And what has our attitude been up until recently? We've been like the passengers on most airliners; eating, drinking, reading secular material, listening to music, watching movies, playing cards, phoning home, punching the keys on a laptop computer,chatting about trivia, staring out the window, etc. It's not that these things are wrong, merely that they absorb all of our time and attention. We're content to sit back and be served, rather than seeking to serve.
The Dallas conference was convened for the express purpose of building the foundation according to a divine blueprint, so that the final warfare and harvest can be realized. I think the foundation largely is in place, and soon we will experience a surge of Holy Spirit power almost beyond comprehension.
